This is the Skidder used in our Tree Removal division. It is a well maintained 548E Single Arch grapple skidder .The tire chains will come off in the spring through fall seasons to reduce impact on the ground.
All timber stock is brought back to the concentration yard for sorting. All species go to different Mills. These white pine logs are prepared and ready to be shipped to a mill in Maine to be turned into boards.
Here We have piles of what is called Pulp wood which will be sold to a bio-mass facility and ground up and used to create electricity.
We offer chipping services on sites where the land owner prefers the brush and tops be cleaned up.
This job is just being finished up. The skidder and log truck are an unbeatable team. As soon as the last tree comes out, The log truck is right there to make sure there is never a pile of wood setting on someone's yard creating an eye sore. When the job is done, the wood is removed. thats the NuMark way !
This load of pulp wood would usually be left in the woods as unwanted discard . We at NuMark will pull this wood out and haul it to a pulp facility even though the pay isn't barely worth it, the thought of leaving this much material in the woods for one of my customers is just not an option.
